It's been a lot more difficult than I expected, but there's something rewarding about pushing yourself to do something even when it's not easy. And hopefully, we're getting better as podcasters along the way.
Once the 30 days are up, we'll continue recording 1-2 pods/week. If you haven't been following along, here are the latest topics we've discussed:
When is it Okay to be Late?
How to Say No More Often
Lessons from Years of Location Independence
What is Integrity & Why Does it Matter?
Will People Rush Back to the Office?
The Individual Contributor vs the Manager
What Does it Take to Become World Class at Something?
The first episode of the challenge with Steph is "Don't Let Bad Days Become Destructive Days."
🍻 Drinking Less Alcohol
I'm thinking about reducing my alcohol consumption. Ideally, I would make a permanent change, versus a time-boxed challenge.
The biggest motivator is observing how alcohol impacts my sleep. With lower quality sleep, I'm less focused, energized, and emotionally calibrated.
Improving my overall health and energy levels is one of my top priorities for 2021, so drinking seems at odds with that.
Request for help
If you've successfully gone from drinking casually a few times per week to drinking much less or going sober, I'd love to hear how you did it.
What approach worked for you? What approaches failed? What have been the benefits? What have been the challenges or downsides?
I appreciate any insight you can offer!
