On the pitch…

Arsenal slipped to their second defeat of the league season when they lost to Manchester United. But the Gunners took a giant step towards the last 16 of the Champions League after beating last year's finalists Borussia Dortmund in Germany. Arsenal Ladies are on course for the Women's Champions League quarter-finals after beating Glasgow City. The under-19s remain top of their Uefa Youth League group but let slip a two-goal lead against Dortmund. Elsewhere, the under-18s drew with Southampton and on-loan forward Joel Campbell scored and provided two assists for Olympiacos.
