Business groups in Aba have commended Abia State governor, Alex Otti, for transforming the city's infrastructure, saying the improvements have boosted commercial activities.
Leaders of the Association of International Traders, Edmund Igwe, and the Ultimate Importers Association, Iroegbu Agu, praised Otti during a visit to his Nvosi country home.
They noted that decades of neglect left Aba in ruins, but under Otti, roads and the business environment have improved significantly.
"Today, trucks and containers no longer topple over each other as before. The city is safer and better for trade," they said.
In response, Governor Otti assured the groups that his administration remains committed to creating an enabling environment for businesses to grow.

He urged traders to safeguard public infrastructure, keep their surroundings clean, and support government efforts against vandalism.
"Aba was abandoned for several decades, so it became a major agenda to recover it. We've achieved a lot in two years, but there's still more to be done," Otti stated.
The traders reaffirmed their support, describing the governor's reforms as a lifeline for commerce in Aba.
