The MTN Foundation will formally award scholarships to 1,372 students in the 5th phase of the MTNF Science and Technology Scheme and the 3rd phase of the MTNF Scholarship Awards for Blind Students. The scholarship presentations will hold in three ceremonies in Imo (Nov 28), Abuja (Dec 3) and Lagos (Dec 9).

Under both schemes, the 1,372 nationwide beneficiaries comprise of 1,205 Science and Technology students and 167 blind students who will each receive annual scholarships worth N200,000 for one academic year. The scholarships are also renewable every year to students who maintain a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 or its equivalent for the Science & Technology students, and Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.5 for the blind students.
Over the last five years, the MTN Foundation has given out over N1billion worth of scholarships to 5,428 students in various public tertiary institutions nationwide.
