Credo by eTranzact has extended its reach in southern Nigeria by launching a grassroots digital payment campaign aimed at empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The initiative, carried out in collaboration with Eligbam City, involved a roadshow across three major markets—Garrison Computer Village, Rumukalagbor Market, and Rumuomasi Market.
The activation introduced informal traders to digital payment tools, many for the first time, helping them transition from cash-based systems to secure, traceable electronic transactions.Throughout the campaign, the Credo team conducted live demonstrations, hands-on onboarding, and business development workshops.

The campaign also tackled common concerns such as transaction security, settlement timelines, and ease of use. To incentivize participation, a raffle draw awarded items like WiFi routers, cash, and business tools to attendees.
For many participating MSMEs, the roadshow served as their first direct experience with a digital payment solution tailored to their needs. This campaign highlights the shift among fintechs toward community-level engagement, going beyond online marketing to drive real-world impact.
