She disclosed this during …  | By Abimbola Akomolafe on September 2, 2025 | The Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination, Hadiza Bala Usman, has announced that the Federal Government is prioritising the creation of 500,000 jobs through SMEs and youth-focused initiatives in 2025. She disclosed this during a strategic engagement session with the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction to review its High-Impact Deliverables. According to her, programmes such as GEEP, N-Power, and the National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme will be key drivers of SME-led job creation, while over 9.4 million Nigerians are expected to benefit from Conditional Cash Transfers. Read also, Other deliverables include medical outreach for 25,000 people, school meals for 2 million pupils, and onboarding 13.8 million households onto the National Social Register. Bala Usman stressed the need for greater accountability in the National Social Investment Programmes Agency (NSIPA), citing weak reporting and coordination challenges.
