The high-level gathering, themed "Progressing Together towards a Sustainable Future", convened African ministers alongside Singaporean leaders to explore opportunities for collaboration in sustainability, trade, and innovation. For Nigeria, the visit marked a milestone with the entry into force of the Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (IPPA) between both nations on 22 August 2025. The agreement is expected to unlock fresh opportunities for SMEs in areas such as technology, manufacturing, and services, while fostering long-term trade and sustainable development between Nigeria and Singapore.

In a statement via its official X handle, NAFDAC said such counterfeit products may carry incorrect doses, no active ingredient, or harmful contaminants resulting in weak uterine contractions, postpartum haemorrhage (PPH), and possible maternal death.
