The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has announced plans to hold a public review session on draft standards for Nigeria's digital public infrastructure and data exchange framework.
According to the agency, the engagement will take place on September 18, 2025, at the Digital Economy Complex, Abuja, bringing together stakeholders from government, private sector, academia, and civil society.
NITDA's Director of Corporate Communications, Hajiya Hadiza Umar, explained that the initiative seeks to co-create trusted and sustainable regulatory instruments that align with global best practices.

She noted that the Draft Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and the Draft Nigerian Data Exchange (NGDX) framework are designed to support secure data sharing, strengthen e-governance, and drive innovation across finance, healthcare, agriculture, and education.
The drafts, developed with strict safeguards on data protection and privacy, are expected to streamline service delivery, reduce inefficiencies, and open new opportunities for entrepreneurs and businesses.
NITDA's Director General, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, urged stakeholders to actively participate, stressing that inclusive collaboration is key to building resilient systems that can accelerate Nigeria's digital economy under the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
