The Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy has launched the Creative Economy Data Mapping Report, a groundbreaking study designed to unlock Nigeria's creative potential and guide strategic investments across key sectors.
Unveiled on Thursday at the Creative Industries Economic Coordination and Investment Summit in Lagos, part of the 2025 Creative Economy Week, the report marks the country's first comprehensive mapping of its creative economy.
The summit, organised by the British Council, brought together major players from film, music, fashion, design, digital content, tourism, and cultural infrastructure.

The report highlights high-growth areas while identifying urgent needs in financing, infrastructure, and policy reforms to drive sector-wide expansion.
It supports the Ministry's Renewed Hope Agenda, which targets the creation of two million jobs in the creative economy by 2030.
Dr. Nneka Ikem Anibeze, Special Adviser on Media & Publicity to the Minister, described the report as "a strategic tool for national development," noting that its data-driven framework will enable investors, government agencies, and development partners to make informed decisions and accelerate inclusive economic growth.
