Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has described the creative industry as a global economic powerhouse, stressing that it is no longer a side attraction but a sector capable of generating jobs, wealth, and small business opportunities.
Speaking at the Creative Youths Experience Bootcamp in Abeokuta, the governor — represented by his deputy, Noimot Salako-Oyedele — said his administration is committed to providing an enabling environment where talent is nurtured into viable enterprises. He added that the programme aligns with both the state's Building Our Future Together Agenda and the federal government's Renewed Hope Agenda.
Abiodun urged young people to transform their passion for photography, videography, and digital content into sustainable businesses, noting that vocational training in the creative sector is about "economic viability, self-determination, and global recognition."

Industry experts, including filmmaker Tunde Kelani and NORD Motors CEO Oluwatobi Ajayi, also encouraged participants to embrace innovation, integrity, and culture as tools to create impact and grow businesses.
The bootcamp will train youths for three months in photography, filmmaking, and editing, with top performers receiving business-support prizes.
