The Federal Government, through the Federal Ministry of Youth Development (FMYD), has reopened the application portal for the Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalization Programme (YEIDEP) Batch B, an initiative designed to equip Nigerian youths with funding, training, and entrepreneurial opportunities.
The programme provides grants ranging from ₦50,000 to ₦500,000 to support unemployed youths in starting or expanding their small businesses, fostering innovation and reducing poverty through enterprise creation.
According to the ministry, YEIDEP is a strategic initiative under the federal government's broader economic empowerment agenda aimed at building sustainable livelihoods, enhancing national security through productive engagement, and promoting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across the country.

Applicants are encouraged to apply if they have interest or an existing business in sectors such as agriculture, technology, fashion, renewable energy, entertainment, sports, and ICT. Successful beneficiaries will also have access to structured training, mentorship, and market linkage opportunities to ensure business sustainability.
To qualify, applicants must be Nigerian citizens aged 18 to 35, possess a National Identification Number (NIN) and Bank Verification Number (BVN), and maintain or plan to open a business account with Lotus Bank, Keystone Bank, or Fidelity Bank.
The ministry noted that while the YEIDEP fund is a one-time grant, beneficiaries will continue to receive business development support through follow-up mentorship and enterprise training programmes.
Interested youths are advised to register through the official YEIDEP application portal and proceed to any designated partner bank with their membership code to complete their account setup.
