The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has reaffirmed its commitment to building a digitally literate Nigeria, following a successful three-week STEAM Digital Literacy Programme in Jigawa State.
A delegation from the University of Rome and The Peace Institute (TPI), led by Prof. Hauwa Ibrahim, met with NITDA officials to review the initiative, which trained 1,050 pupils across 45 schools in Hadejia.
The camp equipped the students with practical knowledge in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, using a mix of modern tools and locally sourced materials.

Dr. Dimie Warowei, NITDA's Director of Corporate Planning and Strategy, received the delegation and noted the programme's impact in preparing young Nigerians for a digital economy.
The visitors also toured NITDA's Computer Emergency Readiness and Response Team (CERRT) facility, gaining insight into ongoing efforts to protect Nigeria's digital space.
NITDA shared the visit on its official X handle, reinforcing its role in advancing digital literacy in line with President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.
