Veteran journalist and author, Azu Ishiekwene, has unveiled a new book titled A Midlifer's Guide to Content Creation and Profit, offering practical insights on how older adults can thrive and earn in today's fast-evolving digital media space.
The 10-chapter book, published by Premium Times Books, explores how midlifers can leverage new technologies — including generative AI — to monetise their creativity, whether through writing, art, or storytelling.
According to Ishiekwene, the book encourages readers to see opportunities in the digital economy, saying it "shares insights with midlifers on rewarding their mental exertions handsomely by using new technologies to tell compelling stories."

In the foreword, Professor Toyin Falola described the book as "groundbreaking," noting that it challenges the belief that aspirations should fade after age 50. Premium Times Publisher, Dapo Olorunyomi, praised Ishiekwene for "mastering new media forms while sharing meaningful insights."
The book, a sequel to Writing for Media and Monetising It (2024), further cements Ishiekwene's role in advancing digital media literacy. His broader body of work includes lectures, a workbook on content monetisation, and a co-authored paper on AI journalism with Prof. Farooq Kperogi.
A Midlifer's Guide to Content Creation and Profit is available on www.azu.media and other global platforms.
