Grain SA's 56th NAMPO Harvest Day, which was presented from 14-17 May 2024 on NAMPO Park just outside Bothaville, is considered a great success by all accounts. A record number of 86,474 visitors over the four days – as well as 865 exhibitors – confirms the trade fair's popularity among farmers, exhibitors, opinion makers and everyone in society who has a heart for agriculture.

NW Agriculture to roll out Artificial Insemination project

The North-West Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is set to roll out the Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) project for cattle. Commonly known as Artificial Insemination, ART will benefit farmers across the province reaching 4000 heads of cattle over a period of 5 years. This means 800 breeding females would be inseminated per year beginning with the current financial year.

Kenyan tea farmers to benefit from government deal for lucrative export market

Tea farmers will earn more from the crop following a pact between Kenya and Liptons Teas and Infusions and Brown Investments. Under the new plan, the two firms will position Kenya's Tea as a premium product to the global stage.

Good Nature Agro , the Zambian company helping smallholder farmers reach the middle class, has been recognized by the Financial Times in the annual ranking of Africa's Fastest Growing Companies of 2024, focused on identifying top performers in Africa's private sector. This ranking places Good Nature Agro as number 44 on the list and the only Zambian company in the top 50.
