The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has unveiled fresh plans to deepen collaborations with key stakeholders to empower Corps Members for self-reliance and job creation.
NYSC Director General, Brig. Gen. Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, revealed this during the 2025 Strategic Meeting/Debriefing of State Officers in Abuja.
The Scheme is engaging partners such as the Bank of Industry (BOI), SMEDAN, SV-NED, OTNI, and ASOLAR, to equip Corps Members with entrepreneurial skills and practical business experience.
According to Nafiu, MoUs and comprehensive action plans have been developed with partners like SMEDAN to support the Scheme's empowerment drive. "We aim to bridge the gap between education and employment, and transform Corps Members into job creators," he stated.

He also emphasized NYSC's commitment to ICT training to keep Corps Members competitive in digital markets.
Director of SAED, Mr. Kehinde Aremu-Cole, highlighted the need for policy innovation, efficiency, and sustainability, urging SAED Officers to act as mentors and role models.
He stressed the importance of guiding Corps entrepreneurs, especially those accessing loans and grants, through post-camp training and digital engagement via the NYSC Integrated System (NIS).
