The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has inaugurated the Startup Consultative Forum (SCF) to drive inclusive implementation of the Nigerian Startup Act (NSA), signed in 2022.
Unveiled on Monday, the forum brings together certified startups, investors, accelerators, and innovation hubs to foster strategic dialogue and policy formulation for the tech ecosystem.
Representing the DG, Malam Kashifu Inuwa, Mr Emmanuel Edet stressed the government's commitment to embedding innovation in national growth.

Mr Oladejo Olawunmi, also standing in for the DG, described the forum as a platform for collaboration and actionable policy exchange.
Ms Victoria Fabunmi of ONDI underlined the SCF's focus on funding, innovation, and global competitiveness, with a strong feedback mechanism for impact.
Mandated by Section 12 of the NSA, the SCF will offer updates on startup incentives, certification processes, and ecosystem representation on the National Startup Council.
The NSA provides a legal framework for Nigeria's startup space, enabling access to seed funding, regulatory support, and other growth-enabling benefits.
