The two-year agreement aims to empower product startups, MSMEs, and entrepreneurs by promoting product innovation, local sourcing, and global market integration. Signed by DPIIT Director Sumeet Jarangal and Hafele India's MD, South Asia, Frank Schloeder, the partnership enables targeted investments, mentorship, and supplier development initiatives. Hafele, a German company, has already invested over $2.5 million in Indian appliance startups and issued purchase orders to local MSME manufacturers. Schloeder added, "India's potential is unmatched, we're committed to building 'India for India' and 'India for the World.'" This collaboration also supports India's broader goal of becoming a global manufacturing hub under the Make in India vision.

Speaking at a public hearing on a bill to establish the National Institute for Film and Media Technology, he highlighted the sector's growing global impact, noting that many Nigerian content creators now earn over $1 million annually. He cited projections that the entertainment industry could generate $14.82 billion in revenue by 2025, up from $4 billion in 2013 stressing the need to equip youths with skills in film, media, and artificial intelligence.
