Job Description/Requirements Responsibilities: - Develop design concepts and plans based on client needs, space, and budget.
- Meet with clients to discuss their objectives, budget, and timeline for the project.
- Create functional and attractive layouts, optimising the use of space.
- Choose furniture, fabrics, colour schemes, lighting, and other materials to complement the design and meet project specifications.
- Use design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Revit) to create 2D/3D models, renderings, and detailed drawings.
- Oversee project timelines, ensuring that designs are completed on time and within budget.
- Work closely with architects, contractors, and other professionals to implement designs and ensure that construction aligns with the design plan.
- Create cost estimates for materials and labour, ensuring the project stays within budget.
- Identify and order furnishings, finishes, and decor from suppliers.
- Conduct site visits during and after construction to ensure the project aligns with design specifications and quality standards.
- Stay updated on the latest design trends, materials, and technology to create innovative and modern spaces.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field with a minimum of second-class upper.
- 2-5 years of experience in interior design or a related field.
- Proficiency in design software (Autocad, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
- Strong visualisation and spatial planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a creative mindset.
- Certification by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) or equivalent is preferred but not required.
