This major development, a joint venture between NNPC Ltd and Seplat Energy Plc, is part of the Federal Government's "Decade of Gas" agenda, aimed at expanding access to cleaner energy, reducing gas flaring, and boosting economic growth. Governor Hope Uzodimma described the Seplat-operated ANOH plant as a major milestone that positions Imo as the heart of Nigeria's gas revolution. At the Dangote Special Day during the Niger National Trade Fair in Minna, Governor Umaru Bago represented by Hamza Bello Sarki called on the private sector to invest in the state's energy potential, praising Dangote's track record with large-scale projects like its world-class refinery. Dangote Group's representative, Hashem Ahmed, revealed ongoing investments in the state, including the Dangote Rice Mill in Wushishi and a guaranteed offtake plan for 1 million metric tons of paddy rice under the Niger Food Initiative. The two-day fair, backed by the state and sponsored by Wema Bank, offered entrepreneurs a platform to grow their customer base and visibility. Nuru emphasized the role of the state's Ease of Doing Business Council in tackling business hurdles, including financing and land access.
