Ten startups have emerged as winners of the second round of JusticeTechNG 2025, Nigeria's first national hackathon and accelerator focused on digital solutions for the justice system.
The programme, led by Fernandez Marcus-Obiene, Special Assistant to the President on Justice Sector Reform, aims to modernise justice delivery using tech-driven tools.
Over 80 applications were submitted for the competition, which kicked off with a three-day hackathon in Lagos from June 3 to 5. The top 10 teams are now in a four-week accelerator, where they'll receive mentorship, technical support, and policy guidance, all leading up to a final Demo Day in July.

The selected startups are tackling key issues like access to legal aid, court digitisation, legal education, and reintegration of ex-offenders. Their innovations include digital court filing systems, legal rights awareness platforms, and tools to support justice access for vulnerable groups.
A total of ₦22 million in funding and support will be awarded. The top team will receive ₦10 million (₦5m cash and ₦5m in services), with ₦7 million and ₦5 million going to second and third place winners, respectively.
The programme is backed by public and private sector experts and offers participants a chance to pilot their solutions with government and civil society partners.
