The launch took place during the 2025 World Environment Day Exhibition (WEDex) at the UN House in Abuja. Speaking at the event, Founder and CEO Henry Bassey emphasized the potential of youth-led solutions in transforming Africa's waste and sustainability sectors. He highlighted economic opportunities within the waste management value chain and recognized top performers from the 2024 CASH school outreach. He noted that proper waste management can drive jobs and attract private sector investment. Other speakers, including NES President Dr. Efegbidiki Okobia and Sterling One Foundation CEO Olapeju Ibekwe, stressed multi-sector collaboration and innovation as key to achieving Nigeria's sustainability targets. GreenHubAfrica's CASH initiative is expected to inspire a new generation of green entrepreneurs and climate advocates, turning environmental challenges into business opportunities for young Nigerians.

Minister of Livestock Development, Idi Maiha, announced the project during an inspection visit, stating it will include new road networks, a veterinary clinic, classrooms, solar energy, healthcare facilities, and improved water supply. Home to over 5,000 herders, the 144,000-hectare reserve will also feature breed improvement centres and pasture cultivation to curb seasonal migration. The initiative is part of the National Livestock Growth Acceleration Strategy (NL-GAS), targeting 417 reserves nationwide. The Wawa-Zange upgrade is expected to improve food security, create jobs, and support Nigeria's economic diversification efforts.

Following strategic investment from Aruwa Capital Management and a strong showing at NOGOF 2025, the revamped Lagos factory will boost daily output from 500 to 2,500 pairs, positioning Yikodeen as West Africa's largest safety footwear producer. The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) backs the project, with Executive Secretary Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe attending as Special Guest of Honour.
