The Ogun State Government has reiterated its commitment to positioning the state as Nigeria's foremost transportation hub through bold infrastructure and strategic investments.
Governor Dapo Abiodun, represented by the Commissioner for Finance and Chief Economic Adviser, Dapo Okubadejo, made this known during the Town Hall Meeting on the preparation of the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and the 2026 Budget for the Remo Division, held at the Remo Royal Event Centre, Akarigbo Palace, Sagamu.
Abiodun explained that his administration is driving economic transformation by investing heavily in transportation and logistics infrastructure, including the proposed Inland Dry Port on a 130-hectare site. The facility will connect the Lekki Deep Sea Port and Kajola Dry Port, opening new economic corridors for trade and industry.
He added that the project complements the state's landmark Gateway International Airport, which recently commenced commercial operations — a development he described as a "significant milestone" that will drive job creation and accelerate regional growth.

Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Olaolu Olabimtan, emphasized that the town hall meeting reflects the government's inclusive approach to planning, ensuring citizens' voices shape state development priorities.
He encouraged residents to actively participate in the budget process, noting that their contributions would help deliver equitable growth across communities.
The Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remo Land, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, commended the Governor for his visionary leadership and transformative projects, saying the people of Remo are proud of the administration's achievements, especially the successful completion of the Gateway International Airport, which has positioned Ogun as a major hub for investment and economic expansion.
