As we all know, mining is an existential part of the precious metals industry and extraction of gold from the ore is complex and critical. Over the years the process has been perfected and in the gold industry today, the use of activated carbon to separate gold from cyanide leaching solutions has become an industry standard for efficient gold recovery in Carbon-in-Leach (CIL), Carbon-in-Pulp (CIP) and Carbon-in-Column (CIC) operations.

Airborne geophysical surveys, particularly Airborne Electromagnetic (AEM) surveys, have a major role to play in mapping the subsurface and locating new mineral resources at depth and near the surface. Ivanhoe Mines, a Canadian mining company leading multiple high-impact projects in Southern Africa has announced a significant milestone at its Kamoa-Kakula Copper Complex, achieving a record monthly production of 45,019 tonnes of copper in November 2024.

Vibration measurements prove: Sleipner dollies significantly reduce workers' exposure to whole-body vibration
According to a study by the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health, the exposure of drivers to whole-body vibration and the resulting health risks when moving excavators can be significantly reduced by using Sleipner dollies instead of driving on the excavator's own tracks. The vibration measurements were conducted at Finnish mine end of May 2023.
