The Nigeria Governors' Forum (NGF) has pledged full support for the Federal Government's plan to grow the creative economy and tourism sector into a $100 billion industry by 2030.
At the forum's second meeting in Abuja, Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Yahaya said the initiative targets over three million jobs, leveraging Nigeria's rich cultural assets.
A presentation delivered on behalf of Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, unveiled a roadmap with key interventions. These include a $200m Creative Economy Development Fund and a $1bn Creative and Tourism Infrastructure Corporation to finance projects like Lagos Arena, Abuja Creative City, and Renewed Home Cultural Villages.
