Right now we're being heavily linked with Benzema. However, is he the answer? Benzema scored 22 goals and provided 11 assists last season. Yes, he was with Ronaldo and Bale. Yes, he is an out and out goal scorer. Yes, he can provide assists, but I don't believe he is our answer. In the 2013/2014 season, at his best, Marco Reus was paramount in Dortmunds chase to beat Bayern to the Bundesliga. With 23 goals and an equal, impressive 23 assists, would he not be better? He has played, albeit not often, as an independent striker for Dortmund before and this is where he has shown much promise. We have been well linked with him in the last few transfer windows, not so much in this window. I'd certainly prefer Reus to Benzema, even if we have to pay 60 million. It may sound ridiculous, but I'd do it an a heartbeat.
