HALF TIME! A nightmare start for Arsenal, with Dinamo Zagreb in dreamland! After an own goal from Oxlade-Chamberlain gave the hosts a lead, two yellow cards for Giroud have left the Gunners a man light while trying to mastermind a comeback in Croatia. Wenger has his work cut out in the dressing room! 44' Given that Arsenal were struggling to break down the home team with 11 men, that task will become infinitely harder without Giroud. The France international hasn't enjoyed his evening, that's for sure, after missing a couple of clear-cut chances and picking up two silly cards. 42' Dinamo can only find the wall with another free-kick attempt, with Arsenal presumably keen to try and hold onto a one-goal deficit until the break. The ball is definitely in the hosts' court now, with the Gunners having to face an hour with a man light. Machado blazes a terrible cross into touch from the right flank. 40' Olivier Giroud 40' RED CARD FOR GIROUD! It goes from bad to worse for the Arsenal striker! After getting a yellow due to some playacting from an opponent, the Frenchman picks up a second card for a scrappy, lunging tackle. The visitors are down to 10! 38' Dinamo are looking fairly good value for their lead, with Mamic's side threatening on the break. A near-post cross from Machado on the right is claimed easily by Ospina, with the Colombian goalkeeper still yet to do much more than fish the ball out of his own net. 36' Fernandes heads away the aforementioned set-piece delivery, with Arsenal needing to start directly threatening Eduardo. Giroud goes down in the box under heavy pressure, but the referee ignores the Frenchman's claims of manhandling from Tavarel. Things definitely aren't going the Frenchman's way in Zagreb at the moment. 34' Arsenal need to find some ideas and fast, with Giroud looking rather clueless and toothless up top for the Gunners. They have around 10 minutes to find a goal before the interval and dent Dinamo's confidence. Pinto manages to make a good block inside his own box, with the deflection looping out for yet another corner. 32' Dinamo are settling into a 4-1-4-1 shape off the ball, with Arsenal unable to find any pockets of space to exploit in and around the box. Alexis neatly jinks past a stray leg from Tavarel, but the ex-Barcelona forward can't pull the trigger due to heavy pressure. The hosts have looked comfortable since taking the lead. 30' Cazorla goes down in the penalty area and half claims for a penalty, but Arsenal retain possession! Oxlade-Chamberlain manages to rattle a low show into a ruck of bodies, with Dinamo's clearance heading out to Fernandes on the left flank. The Chilean drifts in from out wide, but an eventual pass rolls straight through to Ospina. 28' Arsenal look a little bit stunned, but revert immediately back to retaining possession and trying to settle back down. Dinamo win back the ball and counter quickly through Pivaric, but the left-back is denied brilliantly by a sliding tackle from Debuchy. There's real belief on show now! 26' That's the first time that Dinamo have ventured into the opposition penalty area with the ball, but they've got a breakthrough goal! The stadium is a cauldron of noise, now. Wenger might just come to regret leaving out some key players ahead of the Gunners' weekend Premier League clash against Chelsea. 24' Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain 24' GOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! PIVARIC HELPS MAKE IT 1-0! The left-back makes a run from deep and isn't picked up on the overlap! A through ball is slipped into him, with Ospina able to save his first attempt! The rebound then rockets off Oxlade-Chamberlain and into the back of the net! The hosts lead! 23' Olivier Giroud 22' Ospina only has to watch another effort hurtle over his crossbar, with Antolic the latest man to try his luck from range. There is a brief stoppage in play, with Ademi going down claiming an elbow from Giroud, but there was absolutely nothing in that. Fortunately, the referee doesn't go to his book for a red in response to the Dinamo man's playacting. 20' Giroud is having one of those days in front of goal, it seems! When Sigali isn't present to frustrate him, the ex-Montpellier striker has been unable to hit the target under his own steam. The away fans are starting to make more noise to urge their players on, as their early pressure is yet to come to any kind of fruition. 18' WOODWORK FROM GIROUD! Oxlade-Chamberlain scampers down the right, before cutting back a teasing cross! The Frenchman diverts the ball onto the foot of the post, before seeing a second attempt blocked by Eduardo! The following corner finds Debuchy on the edge of the box, but the former Newcastle full-back blazes high and wide of the target. 17' Alexis sweeps a cross in from the left-hand side, but Pivaric clears ahead of his own goalkeeper - that looked to be a case of miscommunication between the left-back and Eduardo. The Chilean finds Giroud on the periphery of the box moments later, but the Frenchman's attempted pivot and shot only deflects off Sigali and behind. The corner looks to find Alexis, but the ball sails over the diminutive former Colo Colo forward and to safety. 15' Giroud is dispossessed easily by Taravel, with Dinamo growing into this game slightly more now. Antolic manages to scramble a cross in from the left byline, but the captain's delivery is dealt with simply at the near post. But for Pjaca's long-range attempts, the hosts are yet to create anything of note. 13' A long ball forward from Dinamo is gathered by Ospina, with the former Nice goalkeeper yet to be tested. Moments later, Arsenal counter and Giroud is set on his way in behind, but Eduardo is quick off his line to beat the Frenchman to it. There is a brief stoppage in play, with Sigali stretching out awkwardly and hurting himself, but the defender should be fine to continue. 11' Antolic sees a long-range shot easily blocked, with Dinamo attempting to counter at pace to disturb Arsenal's rotated back four. Pjaca has another effort from the edge of the penalty area, after dancing away from Arteta, but the lone striker can only lean back and send the ball sailing over the crossbar! 10' Another big chance for Arsenal! A second corner is whipped in by Ozil, but Alexis is denied at the back post by a good block! The Chilean forward is denied by a stretching tackle from Ademi, with the hosts living dangerously during the early stages. 9' Arsenal win themselves a corner from Sigali, with the Argentine defender coming under heavy pressure from Giroud. The resulting set piece is swung in towards the former Montpellier striker, but his header is pushed acrobatically away by Eduardo in the Dinamo goal! Good save! 8' Pjaca shoots wide! The Croatian forward finds a little pocket of space on the edge of the penalty area, but can only blaze high of and beyond the target! That's the first effort of the contest, with Arsenal needing to be aware of the danger of giving possession away too close to their own goal. 6' Foul from Alexis! The Chile international rises brilliantly to challenge for a Debuchy cross, but is penalised for climbing on the back of Pinto. Finally, after a very passive opening five minutes, the hosts have a spell of possession. Sigali is quickly forced to punt long, however, with Arsenal settling back down on the ball again. 5' Oxlade-Chamberlain tries to clip in another cross from the right, but Pivaric makes a timely block. Arsenal appear to be trying to get the England international to gallop into the space behind Dinamo's left-back, but it hasn't come off as of yet. The English outfit are setting up camp in the opposition half. 4' Arsenal are enjoying all of the early possession, with the Gunners stretching their back four wide to allow for plenty of options. Even Pjaca isn't venturing over the half-way line, with the hosts looking to absorb pressure before breaking at pace. In Soudani and Fernandes, Dinamo have two pacey wingers who can drive their team upfield. 2' Oxlade-Chamberlain is released down the right-hand side, but the former Southampton midfielder's attempted cross is blocked smartly by the sliding body of Taravel. Dinamo are sitting very deep early on, with their wide players tracking back and dropping in. 1' We are underway in the first half in Croatia! The hosts are donning their an all black kit, while Arsenal opt to wear their home kit of red and white. There is a fierce atmosphere here tonight, with the Gunners not set to have it all their own way. Arsenal substitutes: Walcott, Monreal, Flamini, Chambers, Campbell, Cech, Coquelin. Arsenal starting line-up (4-2-3-1): Ospina; Debuchy, Gabriel, Koscielny, Gibbs; Arteta, Cazorla; Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ozil, Sanchez; Giroud. Dinamo substitutes: Jezina, Henriquez, Hodzic, Coric, Benkovic, Rog, Matel. Dinamo starting line-up (4-3-3): Eduardo; Ivo Pinto, Sigali, Taravel, Pivaric; Machado, Ademi, Antolic; Soudani, Pjaca, Fernandes. TEAM NEWS: Kieran Gibbs and Mathieu Debuchy are rotated in at full-back for the visitors, with David Ospina replacing Petr Cech in goal for the Gunners. Mikel Arteta makes a rare start in midfield alongside Santi Cazorla, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Alexis Sanchez offering pace in wide areas. Mesut Ozil will support lone striker Olivier Giroud, with Theo Walcott taking a seat on the bench. Mathieu Flamini, who came off the bench against Dinamo back in 2006, is among the substitutes once again. TEAM NEWS: Paulo Machado will hope to add some Champions League experience into the centre of the park for the home side, having previously plied his trade at Olympiakos. Junior Fernandes, Marko Pjaca and El Arabi Hilal Soudani make up the offensive trio for Dinamo, with ex-Manchester United forward Angelo Henriquez only making the bench. No summer signings start for Mamic's men, with there bound to be plenty of understanding between their 11. Dinamo have never been able to qualify from the Champions League group stage, failling each of the four times that they have featured in this stage of the tournament. To add insult to injury, the Croatian outfit have also lost their last six matches when English clubs have visited and are yet to defeat a Premier League side. The signs aren't looking too promising for the hosts. I'm Simon Harrison and I will be keeping you up to date with all of the action from Stadio Maksimir, as the home side attempt to pick up some points on home soil. Given that both Arsenal and Bayern Munich are present in their group, Zoran Mamic's form in front of their own supporters will be vital to any hopes of qualification into the knockout stages. Dinamo currently sit top of the Croatian top flight after nine games, with the Gunners fourth in the Premier League. Hello and welcome to live coverage of Arsenal's Champions League visit to face Dinamo Zagreb in the Croatian capital, as Arsene Wenger's men look to kick off Group F in winning fashion. These two teams last met in competitive action back in 2006, with the hosts unable to prevent a previous 3-0 defeat at the hands of the Gunners. Only Tomas Rosicky is present from the starting 11 back then, with the hosts no longer able to call upon the talents of Eduardo and Luka Modric either.
