Paul Merson believes Manuel Pellegrini could replace Arsene Wenger as Arsenal’s manager. The former Aston Villa and Arsenal star has been impressed by the way the Chilean has acted after learning he would be replaced by Pep Guardiola. And the Sky Sports pundit thinks he could do a good job at the Emirates once Wenger leaves. Asked who should replace Wenger, he told Play With A Legend: ‘I honestly don’t know. ‘The way he’s handled himself, I would say Pellegrini of Man City. ‘He’s been a credit. I mean, he could go on to win all three trophies in England and he still got the sack.’ QUESTION: Pellegrini will obviously not wait till 2017 when Wenger's contract runs out, but if time wasn't a hinderance would he have been an ideal choice? Would Arsenal go for Pellegrini?
