 Welcome Hello and welcome to our User Research Newsletter. You are receiving this because you have signed up to our User Panel. We wanted to take this opportunity to explain to you who we are and what we do. Thank you for being a member of our User Panel. By being part of this community, your feedback is continuing to help improve our services. Our job as researchers is to understand our customers and their needs.
We use a range of research methods, approaches and techniques to help us. These include: - Surveys
- Remote testing using phone or video call
- Face to face usability testing
- Contextual Inquiry and observation
- Pop up research
We then use this insight to inform the design and development of our products and services. Many of you reading this will have taken part in user testing for Companies House already – we really do value your help! Meet the team  L to R, Sarah Combstock, Paul Hirst, Dave Lewis, Amanda Hooper, Mark Hulett & Phil Martin  Here's what you've been helping us with recently User testing of our new digital extension service Customers have been user testing our 'Apply to extend your accounts filing deadline' service which is now live. Small full accounts User research of the Directors report and Profit and loss account elements of small full accounts has been very useful. The Directors report has now gone live and further user research will continue on the small full end to end journey. Anti-Money Laundering Directive The Treasury consultation for the Fifth Anti Money Laundering Directive (5MLD) ended in June and we have been busy carrying out user research for this project. We have implemented a reporting tool to meet the legislative requirements for 5MLD on 10th January. Festival of Enterprise We attended The Festival of Enterprise at the NEC in Birmingham during October. This was a great chance to talk to some of our customers – thanks to all who helped us with our research over the 2 days. You can read more about the event in our blog post.
