Hi there, everybody! We only have a few days of the Yodel this week before Thanksgiving, but there's still tons on our plate. In addition to discussing what happened in Colorado Springs, we'll talk about a big Disney shocker and a lot of World Cup news.
| News To Know | | (AP) | - Horrific news out of Colorado yesterday: At least five people were killed and 25 more were injured after a gunman opened fire at a Colorado Springs LGBTQ+ nightclub. Police said “heroic” patrons subdued the perpetrator until law enforcement officials could arrive.
- A new problem could surface for Republicans as the 2024 presidential race begins: Too many challengers may jump into the primary fray. Insiders fear it'll become 2016 all over again.

| Finance For You | | (Reuters) | - Disney started off the week with some ~drama~: The company’s board ousted CEO Bob Chapek and put the original Bob (as in Bob Iger, above) back in charge. Even weirder, the board had just decided back in June to extend Chapek’s tenure by three years. Hmmm…
- Airbnb has gotten flack for hosts asking guests to do an absurd amount of cleaning and checkout tasks — in addition to paying steep fees. Its CEO Brian Chesky says the platform is making changes to prevent these issues.
- A little news you may have missed towards the end of last week: Former Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes was officially sentenced to 11.25 years in prison. She must surrender to custody on April 27, 2023.

| Sports. Sports. Sports. | | (Getty) | - It’s time to talk about the World Cup! Let’s start with FIFA president Gianni Infantino getting in hot water for saying that criticism of Qatar is “hypocrisy.” Uh, it didn’t set the best tone for the already-controversial tournament…
- Things only got worse for Qatar after its soccer team was absolutely routed by Ecuador in the opening match. Wheeeewww.
- How’s Team USA holding up? Well, the crew just made Tyler Adams their captain. At 23, Adams is the youngest captain at the tournament and also the first Black man to lead the U.S. team at any World Cup. I’m rootin’ for you, Tyler!

| Culture Corner | | (Lisa Skrubis) | - Love this story about 21-year-old Kara Skrubis, a dance major who continued to follow her passion after receiving a cancer diagnosis and undergoing a leg amputation. “I never gave up on believing that I would be able to dance again,” she said.
- Ummm, a flock of sheep in Mongolia has walked in a circle for 12 days straight and nobody knows why. They’re really taking the idea of being “sheeple” to a new level.

| Entertainment Spotlight | | (Warner Bros./HBO Max) | - After almost four decades, 'A Christmas Story' is back with a sequel! Star Peter Billingsley explains why it took so long to get a follow-up film going.
- Actress Eva Mendes referred to longtime partner Ryan Gosling as her husband in a recent interview, and now we all have a few questions.
- Music icon Elton John finished the final performance of his three-show stop in Los Angeles, which also marks the end of his last North American stadium tour ever. There were tears all around.

Fantastic Finish | None of us can compete with Ivy, a dog who creates and sells original paintings that are infinitely better than anything I could ever do. Plus, all proceeds go to charity. How sweet!
