Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Abbas Tajuddeen, has announced that the 2025 budget will finance scholarships for 6,500 indigent students in tertiary institutions across Zaria Federal Constituency.
Speaking during a Ramadan Iftar in Zaria on Saturday, Tajuddeen revealed that six new federal institutions and four federal secondary schools have also been included in the budget to further strengthen Zaria's educational landscape.
Scholarships and Educational Projects
"As the 2025 budget has been signed into law, the scholarship payments for 2,500 indigent students in tertiary institutions will be disbursed soon, with an additional 4,000 students set to benefit from the scheme," he stated.

Additionally, four new federal secondary schools will be established to expand access to quality education in the constituency.
Call for Prayers and Governance Achievements
Tajuddeen called for prayers for President Bola Tinubu, emphasizing that such support would help the government address economic challenges like inflation and GDP growth. He also noted that the administration's holistic approach has significantly improved national security.
In his remarks, the APC National Vice Chairman (North-West), Alhaji Garba-Datti Babawo, praised the Speaker's leadership, highlighting his commitment to inclusivity across party lines and his efforts in fostering unity within the House of Representatives.
Babawo urged Tajuddeen to continue championing peace, progress, and collaboration within the legislative chamber.
