The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has trained 33,692 unemployed women, youths, and persons with disabilities in various vocational and business skills across Nigeria.
NDE Director-General, Silas Agara, disclosed this during the resettlement of beneficiaries under the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative in Kaduna.

He stated that the training, which began on December 9, 2024, covered entrepreneurship, business management, agricultural skills, and public works.
Agara, represented by NDE North-West Zonal Director, Malam Shehu Danjuma, revealed that 5,532 beneficiaries would receive loans and starter packs to help them establish businesses.
In Kaduna, over 1,200 individuals benefited from the programme. State Coordinator, Hajiya Halima Waziri, urged participants to utilize the support effectively to achieve self-reliance.
