Over 220,000 people in Yobe State, including small business owners and vulnerable communities, have been impacted by the recent withdrawal of USAID funding.
The cut has disrupted key sectors such as livelihoods, food security, and multipurpose cash assistance, affecting entrepreneurs and traders who relied on these programs for economic stability.
Dr. Muhammad Goje, Executive Secretary of Yobe SEMA, confirmed that the funding cut has left many struggling to sustain their businesses.
