Plateau State is set to host the inaugural Plateau Entrepreneurship and Investment Summit (PLEIS 2025) from July 3rd to 4th, 2025, at the CRISPAN Suites and Events Centre in Jos, the state capital.
The summit is part of a bold initiative to stimulate enterprise growth, attract strategic investments, and deepen entrepreneurial development across the state.
Themed "Plateau's Renaissance: Leveraging Innovation, Enterprise, and Strategic Investment," PLEIS 2025 aims to become a flagship annual event, convening key public, private, and development actors to catalyze inclusive economic transformation and foster sustainable business opportunities in Plateau.
According to Cletus Akhimien, Convener and Lead Technical Partner for Media, the summit will serve as "a deliberate interface to unlock Plateau's investment opportunities, spotlight innovative enterprises, and create financing linkages that can power real growth." He emphasized that the summit is curated to accelerate investment pipelines and scalable entrepreneurship models.
Designed as a multi-stakeholder platform, PLEIS 2025 will focus on strengthening Plateau's business ecosystem particularly for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and exploring opportunities in under-tapped and emerging sectors such as ICT, agriculture, tourism, energy, and the creative economy.

Akhimien noted that PLEIS 2025 comes at a pivotal time for Plateau, as the state shifts from fragility to stability, and from missed opportunities to measurable economic progress. With ongoing reforms in digital governance, financial inclusion, and targeted support for youth and women-led businesses, Plateau is witnessing a renewed wave of economic confidence.
He extended an open invitation to investors, donor agencies, entrepreneurs, academia, development institutions, and sector regulators to participate, sponsor sessions, or partner via the summit's official website.
"This summit is an open call to those who want to do business in Plateau," Akhimien affirmed.
