The Lagos State Government has unveiled a comprehensive Women's Economic Empowerment Policy Roadmap, aimed at promoting gender equality and economic inclusion across key sectors of the state.
The roadmap, developed with facilitative support from the Policy Innovation Centre (PIC), is designed to address structural barriers that limit women's full participation in the economy. It integrates input from diverse groups of women, including those with disabilities, informal sector workers, entrepreneurs, and professionals across age groups.

The initiative is expected to align Lagos State with both national and global development frameworks on gender equity. Implementation is set to begin immediately, with strategic partnerships across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.
The Policy Innovation Centre, an initiative of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group, commended the Lagos State Government's leadership and affirmed its continued support to ensure the roadmap achieves tangible progress in driving inclusive economic development.
