"Our history matters," the governor stated. "I'm pleased that we are building stronger partnerships with the NCMM to protect and promote our cultural heritage. Lagos must remain a hub for cultural pride, education, and preservation."
The collaboration is expected to spark renewed efforts in restoring heritage sites, expanding cultural tourism, and encouraging private sector involvement in heritage preservation projects. For SMEs operating in the arts, tourism, and cultural industries, such initiatives present opportunities for growth and community engagement.
This renewed alliance positions Lagos as a leader in cultural development and sustainable tourism, while offering new economic prospects for small businesses aligned with Nigeria's heritage economy.
