Lagos-based foodtech startup, Firewood Jollof, has announced the second edition of its annual Jollof Festival, scheduled for November 29, 2025, at Muri-Okunola Park, Victoria Island, Lagos. Themed "Unifying African Jollof," the event aims to celebrate African culinary heritage, promote food tourism, and empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the food sector.
Founder and CEO, Chizoma Chukwueke, said the festival seeks to preserve Africa's traditional firewood cooking method and unite the continent through food. "This festival is about preserving our cultural heritage. Firewood Jollof 2.0 will be bigger and better — a true celebration of African flavor and innovation," she said.
This year's edition will feature West African Jollof dishes from Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, and Kenya, alongside cooking competitions, celebrity appearances, children's activities, and over 35 food and craft vendors.
Headline sponsor Access Bank, with support from Devon Kings Oil, MTN, and Nestlé Pure Life, will help provide a platform for food entrepreneurs and SMEs to showcase products, connect with new customers, and drive growth.

Assistant Brand Manager at Devon Kings Oil, Voke Emeje, added: "Firewood Jollof aligns with our slogan — Taste that binds. We're proud to support an event that connects people, culture, and cuisine."
Chukwueke hinted that the festival would expand to other Nigerian states in 2026, with plans to take the experience across Africa and to London in the near future.
