The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to partner with local and international companies to advance renewable energy adoption in Nigeria. The move aims to boost sustainable power generation, cut reliance on fossil fuels, and support a greener business environment for SMEs and industries.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, disclosed this during a courtesy visit by KF Manufacturing Company, Guangzhou, China, led by its MD/CEO, Bruce Zheng. He noted that renewable energy is central to Nigeria's economic recovery plan, stressing that the country must not be left behind in the global transition to clean energy.

According to Akume, the government welcomes collaborations with credible local and foreign firms that have the capacity and technology to drive nationwide renewable energy projects. Such partnerships, he explained, will improve power supply for households, industries, and particularly small and medium-sized enterprises that often struggle with high energy costs.
In his remarks, KF Manufacturing's CEO, Bruce Zheng, highlighted that many government institutions are yet to fully adopt renewable energy. He reiterated the company's readiness to partner with Nigeria in supplying eco-friendly solar panels, batteries, and inverters that meet green energy standards.
