Lagos State has reaffirmed its commitment to digital innovation, urging other states to scale proven strategies for a stronger national digital economy.
Speaking at the ICT Commissioners Roundtable during GITEX in Lagos, Commissioner for Innovation, Science & Technology, Hon. Olatunbosun Alake, highlighted Lagos' investments in digital infrastructure, talent development, and regulatory reforms.
He said Lagos must "lead by example" to help states align sub-national priorities with federal strategies and accelerate inclusive digital growth.

The forum gathered ICT leaders from across the country, with updates from states including Enugu, Cross River, Ondo, Jigawa, and Zamfara, each unveiling new policies and projects from smart cities to digital literacy frameworks.
Senate ICT & Cybersecurity Committee Chairman, Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, called for stronger cross-ministry collaboration, sustainable funding, and national coherence to ensure state efforts integrate seamlessly with Nigeria's digital architecture.
Delegates agreed on next steps: establishing a working group to map ICT assets, creating inter-state exchange programmes, and drafting joint project frameworks to institutionalize collaboration and drive homegrown solutions.
