Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani says major companies, including the Dangote Refinery, will recruit their next batch of technicians from graduates of the state's three new Institutes of Vocational Training and Skills Development. The move is positioned to strengthen the MSME labour pipeline and expand skilled employment opportunities.
Speaking on the initiative, the governor noted that the institutions were established to equip young people with practical competencies demanded by industry. He said linking graduates directly to top employers underscores the state's commitment to job creation and workforce readiness.

The institutes, built under his administration, offer training programmes tailored to boost enterprise productivity across sectors such as manufacturing, engineering, renewable energy, and industrial maintenance. Officials say these skills are essential for MSMEs seeking to scale sustainably.
The state government added that the partnership with large companies will open doors for apprenticeships, technical roles, and business support, reinforcing Kaduna's goal of developing a competitive, industry-aligned skills ecosystem.
