Mignot also underscored the EU's Global Gateway Strategy, a multi-year initiative supporting infrastructure development across Africa. Key projects in Nigeria include:
✅ Omi Eko water transportation for improved mobility
✅ Digital skills and e-governance initiatives
✅ Deployment of 90,000 km of fibre optic cables in collaboration with the Nigerian government
✅ Investments in agriculture, renewable energy, and vaccine manufacturing
The EU ambassador stressed the importance of strong governance and coordination between Eurocham, EU member states, and bilateral chambers, urging stakeholders to seize opportunities in trade, investment, and infrastructure development.
With this funding, Eurocham Nigeria is set to expand its reach, advocate for better business policies, and attract more foreign direct investment, further solidifying EU-Nigeria trade relations.
