In a move to deepen economic ties between Nigeria and China, the Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership (NCSP) has hosted a delegation from Z-Park Science and Technology Entrepreneurs Association to explore investment opportunities in technology, infrastructure, and industrial development.
Led by Mr. Shi Qilin, the delegation met with NCSP Director-General Joseph Tegbe, discussing plans to boost Nigeria's digital economy, manufacturing sector, and workforce development.
China Eyes Nigeria for Industrial Park Expansion
During the visit, Mr. Shi outlined Zhongguancun Infovalley Science and Technology Park's (ZGC Group) success in developing 50 industrial parks across China over 25 years. He revealed plans to replicate the model in Nigeria, leveraging existing trade zones like the Ogun-Guangdong Free Trade Zone.

"We see Nigeria as a key partner in Africa's industrial future and are eager to introduce advanced technology solutions," Shi said.
Tegbe emphasized President Bola Tinubu's commitment to attracting Chinese investment in renewable energy, electric vehicle production, and infrastructure.
What's Next?
Both countries are set to finalize agreements on technology transfer, industrial development, and skills training programs, strengthening Nigeria's position as a hub for Chinese-African economic collaboration.
