The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has sealed four table water factories in Abuja and Nasarawa for failing to meet Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
The affected facilities include Oral Water and Logistics Limited (Yireh Yaweh Table Water) and Le-Starlight Table Water in Jikwoyi, Abuja, as well as Daraja Table Water and Iris Table Water and Beverages (Siris Table Water) in Karshi, Nasarawa.

During an enforcement operation, NAFDAC officials cited poor infrastructure, absence of production managers, expired licenses, inadequate lighting, and improper packaging as major violations.
Wilberforce-Glory Albert, head of NAFDAC's Mararaba Office, emphasized that the agency will intensify crackdowns on non-compliant manufacturers, ensuring that only quality products reach consumers.
Factory operators have been summoned for investigation, while those with expired licenses face sanctions. NAFDAC reiterated its commitment to enforcing standards and shutting down illegal operations in the sector.
