According to the Financial Times, major Chinese investors have recently withdrawn support from US-based private equity firms, under pressure from Beijing. In some cases, they've even asked to be excluded from American deals led by non-US buyout firms. China, in return, has imposed levies as high as 125% and barred its local companies from investing in the US earlier this month.
