Speaking through Mary Kolawole at the 2025 Convergence Africa conference in Abuja, SMEDAN DG Charles Odii said the agency remains open to partnerships that drive targeted empowerment programmes. The event, powered by CEOS' Portal Limited and led by its CEO, Patience Olusuyi, gathered industry leaders and business owners to tackle outdated business mindsets and foster sustainable growth. Olusuyi noted that the platform, now in its second year, aims to equip entrepreneurs to build businesses that last beyond individual effort. Leadership strategist Niyi Adesanya, in his keynote, urged founders to seek mentorship and form strategic alliances to stay competitive. Attendees also received training on succession planning and structuring their businesses for long-term success.
