Benin City buzzed with innovation today as key stakeholders converged for a strategic session ahead of the official launch of Edo Business Connect Nigeria's first digital business platform.
The initiative, led by the Edo State Investment Promotion Office (ESIPO), in collaboration with GIZ and EDODiDA, is set to redefine how businesses operate across the state.
Once live, the platform will allow entrepreneurs to register, access government support, secure funding, and receive real-time policy updates all from a single digital hub.

"Edo Business Connect is our bold step toward digital transformation and inclusive growth," said Mr Amen Odigie, ESIPO MD.
Dr (Mrs) Ewe Rita Samuropa of EDODiDA highlighted the platform's inclusive design: "It's built for everyone literate or not. It offers business directories, funding access, and a feedback system to solve issues fast."
As the state prepares for the platform's launch, expected before August, the event signals a united front by government and private sector players to make Edo a top destination for business innovation.
