Senator Salisu has reaffirmed support for women-led micro-enterprises, praising their financial discipline and potential for growth.
He noted that many female entrepreneurs are poised to receive further support due to their responsible handling of resources.
"We're not just handing out money we're creating a clear pathway for micro-businesses to scale and integrate into a more inclusive economy," he said.
Addressing national economic issues, Salisu revealed that the National Assembly is working on fiscal reforms to cushion the effects of economic hardship.

He pointed to recent declines in staple food prices and improved stability in the foreign exchange market as positive signs.
He also referenced the newly passed Tax Reform Bills, which aim to ease the tax burden on low-income earners, unify tax systems across all government levels, and simplify the business landscape.
"These reforms ensure fairness those earning more will pay more, while small earners benefit from relief. We're also cutting red tape to make business easier," he added.
Salisu emphasized lawmakers' role in grassroots engagement: "We're the most accessible face of government. True representation means staying connected and responding to the people's needs."
