In a drive to promote economic inclusion and skill acquisition, the Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) is partnering with SUREMech, a leading automobile repair and maintenance platform, to train youths across the state.
Speaking during a courtesy visit by SUREMech representatives, KWASSIP General Manager, Dr Abdulwasiu Tejidini, described the initiative as a strategic move aligned with Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq's vision for youth development in Kwara.
"We are excited about the prospect of collaborating with SUREMech to equip our youths with valuable skills. This partnership can positively impact lives and support the state's economic development," Tejidini said.

He reaffirmed the state government's commitment to sustainable human capital development, especially through policies that empower young people with practical, income-generating skills.
Founder of SUREMech, Engr. Samuel Akhibi, said the collaboration will see selected youths sponsored for hands-on training at the SUREMech Academy. The training will focus on automobile repair and maintenance, aimed at enhancing employability and job creation.
"This partnership will empower young Nigerians and contribute meaningfully to Kwara's economic growth," Akhibi stated.
The project aligns with KWASSIP's goal of supporting vulnerable populations and expanding economic opportunities for youth through strategic partnerships.
