Job Description/Requirements Responsibilities: - Maintain and oversee the company's financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Prepare and analyse monthly financial statements and reports: income statements, balance sheets, etc.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements
- Assist in budget preparation and forecasting, providing insightful financial analysis.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying trends and variances.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits and ensure all financial documentation is prepared and accessible.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company's assets.
- Ensure timely statutory remittance of pension, payee, consumption, and WHT in line with statutes every month with filed evidence.
Requirements: - Minimum of a Bachelor's degree/HND in Accounting.
- 4 - 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles\Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software like SAGE
- Deep understanding of GAAP, IFRS and financial/accounting best practices.
- ACA Certification.
- In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures
- Attention to detail
- Confidentiality and honesty
- Budget preparation and monitoring
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
