Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has arrived in Glasgow, United Kingdom, for the 2025 Edo State Global Investment Summit themed "Catalytic Partnerships: Global Funding & Local Impact." The summit focuses on attracting global investors and Edo diaspora entrepreneurs to boost small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and drive inclusive growth.
The event serves as a platform for SMEs to connect with international financiers, explore export opportunities, and forge partnerships that can scale local businesses.
Governor Okpebholo emphasized Edo's economic reforms, highlighting SME-friendly projects in education, health, and infrastructure designed to create an enabling environment for entrepreneurs.

In a post on X, the governor showcased key milestones including the renovation of 68 schools, the launch of the 36km Gelegele road for the future seaport, and several livelihood initiatives within eight months of his administration all aimed at supporting business growth and market access.
Okpebholo reaffirmed that Edo is "open for business," calling on investors and diaspora entrepreneurs to partner with the state in building innovation hubs, funding startups, and expanding SME networks for sustainable economic transformation.
