The Kwara State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to boosting agribusiness by unveiling plans for a youth-focused livestock entrepreneurship programme.
According to Commissioner Thomas, the initiative is designed to train, equip, and fund aspiring young agripreneurs, positioning Kwara as a hub for livestock innovation and rural prosperity.
She noted that the programme aims to transform young people from job seekers into job creators through modern livestock practices, business development, and access to finance.

Meanwhile, the National Agricultural Extension and Research Liaison Services (NAERLS) visited the state as part of its annual Agriculture Performance Survey.
Team lead Dr. Jacob Adzenga explained that the exercise reviews key areas such as crop production and livestock, with findings to guide policy decisions.
He added that the survey, carried out with support from the National Cereal Research Institute and NiMet, will generate data to help design impactful agricultural programmes that benefit farmers and stakeholders nationwide.
